· Upskilling, cross training and career development will continue to be a key focus of resource and investment.
What`s happening to your pay?
· Portavadie is committed to being a Living Wage accredited employer.
· Crew wages will go up by £0.90 per hour £36 per week (£1872 per year gross) based on 40 hour working week - from 23/3/2023
· Crew contracts of 42.5 hours consulted with to reduce to contracted 40 hours per week (in line with majority of contracts which are 40 hours) this does not mean that crew members cannot do more and be paid for more hours but streamlines contracts across the property.
· Managers/ Assistant Managers will receive £1500 (gross) pay increase - from 23/3/2023.
· Increases will be paid from pay date on or around 28/4/2023.
Crew Accommodation
· All crew accommodation rates will go up by £25 per person per week with Abbeyfield residents being capped at £20 per week.
· Utility charges will be frozen until October 23rd 2023, then will go up to £30 p/w for the winter period – 23/3/2024. This will continue to be reviewed annually.
Opportunities
· More cross training and development.
· A flexible multi skilled crew capable, trained, and confident to work across departments as business dictates.
· Continue to market Living Wage to attract and retain crew members as well as having very competitive rates of pay alongside well-maintained crew accommodation.
· Opportunities to pick up hours in other department to add hours through the season.
